CNWPE v1.4.3

This application allows you to edit the persistence of elements in your Cubase / Nuendo Workspaces.
Most useful: set the Project Window to "0" so selecting a workspace won’t alter its view.
Instructions for Use:
MAKE SURE CUBASE / NUENDO ARE CLOSED!
1. Use the dropdown list to select your application (e.g., Cubase 13)
2. Select a layout from the dropdown list of layouts contained in the XML file.
2a. You can now duplicate (and rename) the workspace before editing it - This means there is no need to create the new workspace in Cubase/Nuendo.
3. Edit values as needed:
- "1" = default persistent state
- "0" = disables persistence (e.g., Project Window won’t change)
- Other values may appear (e.g., Mixer, Control Room) — their behaviour is still being explored.
4. Click "Save" to apply changes.
- If "Save Automatically when switching Workspace" is checked, manual saving is not required.
Checkbox Options:
• Backup to Desktop
- Checked → backup saved to Desktop
- Unchecked → backup saved alongside the original XML file
• Save Automatically when switching Workspace
- Checked → saves XML whenever a new workspace is selected via dropdown
Notes:
- You can now duplicate (and rename) the workspace before editing it - This means there is no need to create the new workspace in Cubase/Nuendo.
- You may need the correct version of the .NET Framework to run this tool.
- Feedback and suggestions are welcome!
